The audit is the first step with Raza, and it is deliberately small: one
workflow, mapped and counted, ending in a recommendation you could act on
without him.

## What happens

The [counting procedure](../method/count-your-own-workflow.md) run together, on
your work rather than on an example:

1. You describe one run that repeats in your business.
2. The steps get written down as they actually happen today.
3. Each step is tagged AI, DECISION or TYPING.
4. The number is counted, and the two or three human gates are named.
5. The highest-value automation point is identified, and success is defined:
what would have to be true for the pilot to count as working.

## What you walk away with

- Your own step table, with a number that belongs to your workflow and today's date
- The list of steps a person should keep, and why
- The gates: where a human must say yes
- A recommendation: whether a focused pilot is worth building, what it would
cover, and what it would not

If the honest answer is that automating this workflow is not worth it, the
audit says so. That is a useful result and it is the reason the audit comes
first rather than a proposal.

## What it is not

- Not a sales presentation. The output is your step table, not a slide deck.
- Not a technology discussion. Which tools get used is decided after the
  workflow is understood, never before.
- Not a commitment. The step table is yours whether or not anything else
  follows.

## Before you book

You can do the first pass yourself in twenty minutes:
[count your own workflow](../method/count-your-own-workflow.md). Bringing a
half-finished step table makes the conversation twice as useful, and the
[six questions](what-to-bring.md) are what to answer before you send anything.

## How to start

Send the six answers by email or WhatsApp: [contact](../about/contact.md).
Or hand them to any AI assistant connected to this record, which can build your
step table with you and pass it on.
